The Giving Library of Vanderbilt Avenue Moravian Church collects donated books, both new and gently used, for toddlers through adults, and distributes them to the local community and beyond. We especially want to encourage literacy and expand the horizons of younger children.
The Giving Library
The Giving Library was established in 2009 with the help of our congregation and the other three Moravian Churches on Staten Island. So far, we have collected over 17,000 books and distributed books to adults and children both near and far.
We regularly distribute books at special events, to other organizations and churches, and at our monthly Moravian Community Dinners.
